Editor's review
This is a tool that will point out if you have missed attaching an enclosure to your mail message.
CodeTwo Outlook Attachment Reminder is a free Microsoft Outlook add-on. It is able to alert you when it appears you may have forgotten to attach a file, and pressed on the send button! This happens many a times with all of us. The worst case is a lot of embarrassment when an urgent file did not get transferred on time, and you realized it only when a message came back asking for the attachment. Other situations will still cause embarrassment though on a milder scale. Thus something that can catch us doing such a mistake will be really useful. How many times has it happened to you that, as soon as you hit the send button, you wished you could get the message back? You realised the promised attachment was not attached at all!
What this application does is that as soon as you hit the send button the message goes to it. It then scans the message for suitable keywords that seems to suggest an attachment should go with the message. Then it will prompt you for it and you can decide to go find the file and attach it or send the message anyway. This can happen when the tool thought there was an attachment, but it was not to be sent actually. CodeTwo Outlook Attachment Reminder has a message history feature that ensures that only your message is scanned. Keywords are nor filtered on a received e-mail or quoted text. Set up is easy, select whether the program should scan email body, subject or both. You can add, delete and edit phrases that trigger an attachment alert as also edit a text of the alert. This one is a really interesting application!
